The Philippines’ gaming sector is poised to surpass its own milestones in 2025, building on an already historic performance from the previous year. With strong momentum from both domestic demand and international tourism, industry officials are optimistic about continued growth in the months ahead.

According to insights from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), the sector is expected to generate even higher revenues this year, driven by the reopening of borders, increasing foot traffic in integrated resorts, and the sustained popularity of online gaming platforms.

Last year, the country’s gaming revenues reached an all-time high, thanks to a combination of eased COVID-19 restrictions and a resurgence in consumer spending. Analysts say that the strategic investments in infrastructure and digital platforms have played a crucial role in reviving the industry and attracting both local and foreign players.

Integrated resorts in key cities like Metro Manila, Cebu, and Clark have reported steady growth, while e-games and remote gaming operations have expanded their market share, particularly among younger, tech-savvy users.

PAGCOR Chairperson and CEO Alejandro Tengco emphasized the agency’s commitment to maintaining transparency and responsible gaming standards, while continuing to attract international investments and partnerships.

Economic experts highlight the gaming industry’s significant contribution to the national economy, not only through revenue but also by generating employment and supporting related sectors such as hospitality, food and beverage, and tourism services.
As 2025 unfolds, all eyes are on the Philippines’ gaming landscape, with stakeholders anticipating another banner year marked by innovation, resilience, and stronger global presence.
